GREENHOUSES

Homestead Mirković presently owns 3.5ha of land occupied by greenhouse facilities which are state-of-the-art greenhouse facilities adapted to weather conditions typical for our climate. This type of greenhouses originates from England and has been in use for 15 years. In Hungary, it has proven to be good while it has not been used in Serbia so far. The production in greenhouses is planned for the period between March and November. The water curtain protects the crops from early spring and late autumn frosts. The greenhouses have an integrated flume for collection of rain water which is then used for irrigation. This is the most modern type of irrigation system and it is entirely computerised. For the time being, the greenhouses are used for growing peppers intended for sale in the country and abroad but they are also suitable for growing various other vegetables. We collaborate with experts from Hungary but hope to establish our own expert team.
